Canada’s major marijuana company, Aurora announces a new round of staff layoffs and intends to close five facilities. Recently, the cannabis industry has reported cheaper rates on the black market and slow overseas growth. Furthermore, the Covid-19 pandemic hindered finical market. Due to the recent recession and market trends Aurora has cut “it’s selling, general and administrative (SG&A) workforce by 25% and will lay off 30% of production staff over the next two quarters”, it said.
