The COVID 19 pandemic has impeded the progress of cannabis advocates planned to bolster the effort to get legalization measures on state ballots. However, many advocates within the cannabis legalization campaign are still frightening to put legalization on ballots in November. Legalization questions have already been on the ballot for 2020 for states like New Jersey, South Dakota, and Mississippi already, but as the public health efforts in Missouri, North Dakota and Oklahoma have been upended. In Nebraska, Arkansas, and Arizona activists are going forward with their efforts by adapting to public health concerns and ever-shifting legal guidance.
