Denver’s Marijuana Licensing Work Group met for the final time last week on Friday, June 26th, 2020. They virtually to discuss plans on how to develop an equity program. Members explored and discussed the specifics future equity programs like “who would qualify as an equity applicant, and which services or benefits might be available”. Also, The Cannabis Work Group suggested an array of methods to fund the locally funded equity program. Suggestion for funding included; “reallocating” funds from the city’s police budget and/or using fees from current cannabis licensees.
