Professor Raphael Mechoulam, known as the “father of cannabis research,” announced his latest discovery about cannabis compounds that could be more potent than both CBD and THC. A few months ago, Mechoulam revealed his research on cannabidiol acid methyl ester (EPM301). As a result of recent scientific development in the pharmaceutical drug process, the professor was able to develop a method that modifies acids in a way that keeps them stable enough to allow for their large- scale use. This opens the door for further pharmaceutical experiments. According to the recent partnership with EPM, a global biotechnology company based in the United States, the newest discovery presents cannabidiolic acid as a “far more potent compound than CBD or THC with no known negative side effects”.
