On July 23, Colorado Springs Cannabis Association sent a letter to Colorado Springs City Council noting their disapproval about a recent retail ballot measure. The ballot is set to be review by the Colorado Springs City Council on Monday to consider whether to refer it to voters for the Nov. 3 election. The letter said, “destroy the existing medical marijuana business model, and put in grave risk over 80% of our current businesses and employees.”  The Colorado Springs Cannabis Association further argues that the new measure could hinder the marijuana market by punishing entrepreneurship and penalizing individual investment in the community.
