Cannabis advocates in Nebraska despite the COVID 19 pandemic and the tough task of collecting at least 122,000 signatures for the legalization ballot in November successfully received the needed number of signatures. In fact, according to The Group, Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana, collected a total of 182,000 signatures from voters who want the measure on the ballot. The data shows people signed from all 93 counties in the state. Cannabis legalization supporters hope Nebraska will soon join ranks of other “middle of the country” states in approving medical marijuana, including Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma despite their lack of current cutting-edge legislation on marijuana.
