Oklahoma has recently been rejected by the largest multi-state operators (MSO’s) in the country. Oklahoma is considered to have one the most massively fractured cannabis market in the country when it comes to ownership. The numerous dispensaries are great for small brands as Oklahoma is home to the second most dispensaries per capita, which equals 15.6 dispensaries per 100,000 residents. Furthermore, the state recorded $365 million in sales in 2019, the first full year which demonstrates a positive trend for cannabis entrepreneurs. Despite, these numbers big MSO have not shown interest in the Sooner State due to the immense amount of competition taking place in the new market.
