This statement helped push back against criticisms that the drug can’t help during the COVID-19 pandemic. She said, “I don’t agree with you that cannabis is not related to this,” Pelosi said throughout a national press briefing in the Capitol; then she remarked, “This is a therapy that has proven successful.” On Friday while talking to reporters, Pelosi endorsed the portion of the bill related to cannabis after negotiations stalled with Republicans.
