According to data Brazil’s health regulator shows the number of authorizations for individual patients in Brazil that import non-registered medical cannabis products reached 18,650 at the end of March. The National Sanitary Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) reports approvals to import the products have been growing rapidly in the past year with Brazil becoming the largest Medical cannabis import market in Latin America. The health agency states that in practice CBD represents most imports. During the first quarter of 2020, almost 3,000 patients received authorization to import non-registered products, an 25% increase from 2019.
