In Arizona, construction has officially started at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine’s (SCNM) Ric Scalzo Institute for Botanical Research which houses a Biosafety Level 2 Lab, a compound isolation laboratory, and compound identification, and quantification facility. The Institute is set to develop new antimicrobial therapies and antibiotic resistance, cannabis therapies, FDA-approved botanical drug products testing, and more.
