First of 6 recruitment centers launching in North Bay Pharmacy on August 28th, 2020.

Avail Cannabis will be registering for ethics approval on an observational study. This will seek to identify the optimal cannabinoid profile and therapeutic dose of medical cannabis oil for Military Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Avail Cannabis will seek approval to publish the findings of the study in The Journal of Military, Veteran, and Family Health (JMVFH) and present the outcome at the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research Forum in Halifax in 2021. There are studies planned in the future and have been developed to keep patient safety as the number one priority. Due to COVID-19 and public health guidelines, patients will participate in the study via telephone or virtually through an online video. The recruitment for the study will not begin until ethics approval for the study has been received and it is anticipated to come in late September. Until the approval and after the studies have been terminated, the locations will remain educational resource centers for Veterans and their families where they receive local health care resources including but are not limited to peer support.
