On Friday afternoon, a bipartisan bill to promote marijuana research was included in a list of legislation that was, “scheduled for consideration” on the House floor next week. Yet, hours later, it was removed. A spokesperson for House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) told Marijuana Moment “It was just an error,” and “it’s not scheduled for next week.”  This is the second cannabis-related scheduling complication to occur within the House recently because The Medical Marijuana Research Act was mistakenly included in the list of bills to be taken up last month.
