West Virginia secured a deal with the Florida-based cannabis traceability company Metrc. With this state-based contract, Metrc now supports 15 states and the District of Columbia. The regulatory agency said in a news release that it will begin the process of issuing medical marijuana patient cards in spring 2021, with sales expected to follow. West Virginia is the third state this year that Metrc has reached an agreement with to provide track and trace software.
