Despite the COVID-19 pandemic Canadian cannabis reports show that sales reached new peaks in May as more Canadians are indulging in quarantine kush. According to Canadian statistics released on Tuesday; cannabis sales report a “four-per-cent swell from April to May, with sales reaching a record $186 million”. However, some local retailers describe pandemic sales differently as many saw their revenue greatly diminish with downward trends from March to May with only an incremental increase for recent June and July sales. Some retailers are questioning the data as it could simply reflect an increase in the number of legal cannabis stores in the country — and in its most populous province –not an overall increase in sales.
